TECedge to Develop WAN RFP for Everett Public Schools
June 5, 2006 --
Everett, MA - Everett Public Schools (EPS) has contracted with TECedge to develop specifications for a high speed Wide Area Network. TECedge, an education technology consulting firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, works exclusively with educational organizations nationwide-K-12, higher education, and public libraries-to implement cost-effective technology solutions to support and enhance learning. The new network will substantially improve Internet response times and will allow communications among the district's schools and administrative offices.
The specifications will be put out to bid in late summer / early fall 2006 with implementation starting July 1, 2007. The bid will be coordinated with the E-rate program so that the district will only have to pay about 30% of the cost of the new network.
